At Genesis Dental Centre in SW Calgary, Invisalign treatment runs $4,500 to $8,000 in 2026. That is a range rather than a single price because clear aligner treatment is quoted per case, and two people who want the same result can need very different amounts of work. Here is what moves a case within that range, what the fee covers, and where insurance and the Canadian Dental Care Plan fit in.
What decides where your case falls in the range
Three things account for most of the difference:
- How much movement is needed — mild crowding, or a small relapse after previous orthodontics, sits at the lower end. Correcting the bite as well as the alignment sits at the upper end.
- How long you are in aligners — Invisalign cases here typically run 6 to 18 months. A longer case means more aligner trays and more review appointments.
- Whether one arch or both are treated — some cases only need the upper or the lower teeth moved.
None of this can be judged from a photograph. The figure that matters is the itemized quote you receive at your consultation, and that quote does not change afterwards.
What the fee includes
The quoted fee is the treatment itself, not a deposit: the scan and treatment plan, the full set of aligners, the review appointments through treatment, and the retainer plan at the end.
If your case needs anything before aligners start — a cleaning, a filling, or work on the gums — that is quoted separately and appears as its own line, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
Insurance, CDCP and paying monthly
Most extended health plans cover part of Invisalign under an orthodontic lifetime maximum — a fixed amount per person for orthodontic work, rather than a percentage of each visit. We verify your coverage before you commit, and we bill your plan directly so you only pay your portion.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan may help eligible patients. We also offer flexible monthly payment plans, so the fee does not have to be paid in one go.
Invisalign or braces — what the difference costs
Invisalign | Traditional Braces | |
Cost (2026) | $4,500–$8,000 | $4,000–$7,000 |
Treatment time | 6–18 months | 18–24 months |
Removable | Yes | No (fixed) |
Best for | Mild–moderate, discreet | Complex bite & crowding |
In most Calgary cases Invisalign costs slightly more than metal braces, but the gap has narrowed, and for straightforward alignment the two can be very close. Booking a quote
The only way to know your number is a consultation: a look at your teeth and bite, a scan, and an itemized quote you can take away. If you decide to go ahead, that is the figure you pay.
